Dreamland Horse Riding Camps is open to boys and girls of all levels in July and August. It offers equestrian enthusiasts a specialized and immersive experience. The program includes expert-led coaching sessions covering various disciplines, workshops with equine experts, and social events designed for equestrian networking and enjoyment. This multi-disciplinary event focuses on both personal and equine development, catering to a range of skill levels. Set in a prestigious equestrian venue, the course aims to enhance riding skills, provide valuable insights into horse care and management, and foster a community among horse riding enthusiasts.

English Country Riding Program Come and join us on an adventure where equestrian activities are combined with English lessons and fun activities. The English Country Riding Program is open to boys and girls of all levels in July and August (one to several weeks available).

During their stay, in addition to their riding sessions, the students participate in fun English lessons. To help them improve, they will be supported by coaches and instructors during training and campus life who will ensure that the language spoken is only English. To achieve this, the number of students of the same nationality will be limited.

This program includes horse riding, accommodation, and recreational activities during the stay as well as English lessons. Since 1988, this camp has been welcoming young athletes in a warm, fun, and safe environment. The main goal is to ensure that all young people return home having improved their sporting, language, and confidence skills.

Stonar's Residential Riding Camp is a bespoke programme, offering beginner through to advanced riders the opportunity to gain hands-on, in-depth daily stable and riding experience. Children, aged from 9 to 16, will enjoy the opportunity to stay and ride at our co-educational boarding school set on a beautiful, rural 80-acre campus in Wiltshire. Stonar is home to the UK's finest riding academy, with a world-class, onsite, British Horse Society-approved Equestrian Centre offering an immersive experience for riders.

Children can bring their own horse/pony or use one of Stonar's own horses (subject to availability).

We cater for beginner, novice, intermediate, and advanced riders. We are not able to accommodate complete beginners (still on lead rein).

Stonar's Equestrian Centre is led by our team of experienced BHS-qualified coaches who are passionate about supporting riders, not only during their riding lessons but in learning to deliver a high standard of horse care and broadening their knowledge in all areas. Riders will spend their days making full use of our extensive onsite equestrian facilities, combined with fun leisure activities arranged by our residential staff, in the unbeatable surroundings and facilities of the school site.

The horse riding course in England is recommended for riders of beginner to advanced level. On the first day of the course, the young riders are divided according to their level so that they can do their riding session with riders of the same level as them to ensure the best possible progress.

English countryside. All the campuses offered for horse riding camps have good sports facilities. Large outdoor natural grass pitches, gyms or tennis courts are among the facilities available. A shared lounge with sofas, TV, board games and magazines also allows students to relax and chat with friends.

Taking care of and preparing the horses is a key part of the program. Every day, the young riders learn how to groom and prepare their horses before riding them. They also learn the names of the equipment they use and the characteristics of the horse. All sessions are conducted in English. As well as long rides in the English countryside, the students also take part in dressage and show jumping. Beginner riders start with poles on the ground, but the difficulty increases for more experienced riders. At the end of the program, all riders compete in a competition and put into practice everything they have learned during the week.

Adventure & Outdoors (Optional)

The students wake up in the morning and have breakfast. Before starting the horse riding or English lessons, they have a short meeting with all the instructors who explain the day's activities, and this meeting is also held after lunch. In the morning, the participants have either English lessons or a horse riding session.
At the end of the morning, they go to the canteen to have lunch and get their strength back for the afternoon's riding sessions or English lessons, depending on whether they have already done so in the morning or not.

The horse riding camp in England also welcomes other young people on campus who have selected other sports or activities such as football, tennis, drama or rugby. Participants in the summer horse riding camps have the opportunity to meet these young people during free time at the end of the day.
In the evening, when all participants have had dinner, they participate in evening activities, organized by the animation teams. The purpose is to strengthen the team bond within the group, allowing the youth to create many memories and new friendships. The participants then go to bed to get ready for the next day.
This program is given as a rough guide. It may be modified or adjusted according to technical criteria, safety requirements or the weather conditions at the time.

Excursions are organized during the weekend when participants stay two weeks or more. Young people can enjoy the following activities: a visit to an amusement park, a cultural and/or tourist visit with a shopping break at the end of the day.

Campers stay onsite in purpose-built dormitory style cabins and are under 24/7 adult supervision. The participants are divided according to their age and the sport activity selected. In all cases, they stay in a typical English university dorm, which is very comfortable and has all the necessary sports facilities for the development of the youth. The accommodation, sports facilities and canteen are all located in the same place, and the students only leave the campus when they go on excursions with their instructors at the weekend.

Chessington Equestrian Centre, lying between Reading and Basingstoke, is situated amidst the scenic countryside near the village of Heckfield - a tranquil and picturesque setting for the summer school student, with its rolling hills, green fields, and wooded areas. In this peaceful and idyllic atmosphere visiting adult riders can enjoy top-quality stabling, training, and tuition, along with excellent facilities, including indoor and outdoor arenas, cross-country courses, and hacking trails.
